Book online, board at Ved Stranden 26, and the drinks come with the ticket.
Book from $57 per person. The operator's note on the listing says the tour is not refundable, so read the cancellation terms shown at checkout before you pay.
The cruise leaves from Ved Stranden 26 by Gammel Strand. Leave strollers, bikes, pets and your own alcohol at home; the listing does not allow them.
Beer, cider, wine, soft drinks and non-alcoholic options are included for the whole cruise of about 1.5 hours through the canals and harbour.
The boat is covered, and on warmer days the windows open into the transparent roof. There is no commentary, so the talking is up to your group.

Drinks Guide
Which boats include drinks, which sell them, and where you can bring your own.
For a drink on the water with nothing to organise, book the Sip & Sail Canal Cruise. It runs about 1.5 hours from Ved Stranden 26, with beer, cider, wine and soft drinks in the ticket, from $57 per person on the dates we checked in October 2026. There is no guide, so it suits a relaxed afternoon more than a first look at the city. If you want to bring your own bottle, the only boat on this site that allows it is a self-drive GoBoat, and its rules are strict.
Six boats on this site involve a drink in some way, but only two include drinks as standard and only one lets you bring your own.

Hey Captain’s season has ended on GetYourGuide for 2026; its next listed date was 19 March 2027.
Your ticket covers beer, cider, wine, soft drinks and a choice of non-alcoholic drinks for the length of the cruise. The boat is covered, and on warmer days the windows open into the transparent roof, so a cool breeze or a shower does not end the afternoon. It leaves from Ved Stranden 26 by Gammel Strand, the same quay as Stromma’s classic tour.
The listing rules out your own alcohol, pets (assistance dogs are allowed), strollers, bikes and electric wheelchairs, and it is not suitable for wheelchair users. Stromma describes it as a summer cruise; when we checked, the next date on GetYourGuide was 10 October 2026. There is no commentary at all. If you want the stories as well, pair it with a guided tour on another day, or read our route guide before you board. Our Sip & Sail breakdown has the full listing.
Check the policy at checkout before you pay. GetYourGuide shows free cancellation up to 24 hours before on this listing, but the operator’s own note on the same page says “The tour is NOT refundable.” Until the two agree, treat the booking as final.
If flexibility matters, the other boats in the table above all show free cancellation up to 24 hours before on GetYourGuide. The private tour also promises a full refund if it rains.
Only on a self-drive GoBoat. GoBoat lets you bring your own food and up to 2 units of alcohol per person, limited to beer, wine and ready-to-drink cans. Spirits are confiscated at the dock. The skipper must be 18 or older and stay sober, swimming or jumping off the boat is not allowed, and Nyhavn is a no-entry zone for GoBoats. A one-hour rental for up to 8 people was $90 per boat on GetYourGuide when we checked; GoBoat’s own site starts at DKK 549 per boat. Our GoBoat guide covers the map and the hours.
The other boats sell drinks and forbid your own. On the private City Highlights tour you buy drinks from the cooler on board and plug your own playlist into the Bluetooth speaker, which makes it the party option for up to 6 people. Our private boat tour guide compares the charter choices. Hey Captain does not allow your own drinks and caps guests at 2 each.
A summer evening is the classic slot, when the light is long and the open windows earn their keep. Our best time guide has the sunset times month by month. In winter, Stromma runs a separate Christmas Canal Tour on Saturdays from 7 November to 19 December 2026, with drinks and Christmas snacks on a covered, heated boat. It is sold on Stromma’s own site, not on GetYourGuide; our winter guide has the details.
Tipping is optional in Denmark, and cards are accepted almost everywhere, so you rarely need cash for drinks bought on board. For prices across every boat, see our canal tour prices guide.

"A lovely relaxed trip The crew were very friendly and ready to answer any questions There was no shortage of drinks and snacks served A really lovely few hours"

"Relaxed laid-back trip with nice selection of drinks. Sadly as it was high tide we didn't get into the canals and we would have liked either some kind of commentary or a guide to follow the landmarks we were passing on the way."
"Great time cruising around Copenhagen, enough guided and chill time. Lots of drink options!"

"Sip and sail was fun. generous with the beverages, friendly staff, prompt departure- loved it all!"
"Fabulous way to cruise the canals! Laid back and everyone was super friendly. Highly recommend"
"Enjoyed the Sip and Sail cruise on Copenhagen's waterways. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. Included drinks were plentiful and varied with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The lack of an incessant commentary was very relaxing and staff explained things or answered questions on a one to one basis. Would not hesitate to do this again."
