Copenhagen: Electric Canal Tour with live guide & hygge

About This Experience
This is GoBoat's guided Harbor Tour: a silent electric boat, a captain who steers and guides, and no more than 9 guests. It lasts one hour, a 5-minute safety briefing plus 55 minutes on the water, starting and ending at Islands Brygge 10. On the dates we checked in October 2026 the plain tour cost $31 per person.
From Islands Brygge the captain takes you past the colourful facades of Nyhavn, Amalienborg Palace and the Opera House, into Christianshavn and past Børsen, the old Stock Exchange that burned in April 2024 and is now under scaffolding. Because the boat is electric, you can talk to the captain and the other guests without raising your voice.
It suits travellers who want a small, relaxed group at a price close to the big boats, and anyone who likes to ask questions. Paid options add ice cream, wine and wine gums, beer or soda and chips, or a GoBoat beanie. On the date we checked there were seven departures, from 09:45 to 17:15.
It is a shared boat, so you sail with strangers, and the listing mentions no roof or blankets, so dress for the weather. Drinks and snacks are extra unless you book an option that includes them. Arrive 15 minutes early, and allow time to reach Islands Brygge from the centre.

Amazing trip down the river, we arrived 45 mins early and our guide said he could take us immediately - we were the only ones on the trip so had personal attention, the guide was so informative and knew every answer to our questions, I would highly recommend this boat trip.

A tour well worth doing. We had already walked all around Copenhagen but this boat trip showed it in a different light and we really enjoyed it.

I had a wonderful time on the GoBoat electric boat tour in Copenhagen. The relaxed pace made it such a lovely way to see the city from the water without feeling rushed. Our young guide was friendly, engaging and clearly very knowledgeable, sharing lots of interesting facts and stories in such an easy-going way. The beautiful weather certainly added to the experience, but it was the calm atmosphere and excellent guide that really made the trip special. A great way to spend an hour.
